Einheitliche englische Terminologie des Schweizer Bildungssystems

Im Zuge der Übersetzung des Bildungsberichts 2010 ins Englische haben die für das Bildungssystem verantwortlichen Behörden von Bund und Kantonen in Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Experten eine einheitliche englische Terminologie erarbeitet. Sie trägt einerseits den Besonderheiten des Schweizer Bildungssystems Rechnung. Andererseits erleichtert sie das Verständnis des Systems für eine internationale Leserschaft.
Die Terminologie wird von den verantwortlichen Behörden von Bund und Kantonen als englischsprachige Referenz verwendet. Der Prozessleitung des Bildungsmonitorings Schweiz ist daran gelegen, dass die Terminologie eine möglichst weite Verbreitung bei allen Akteuren des Bildungssystems findet, insbesondere auch bei den zahlreichen Bildungsforscherinnen und –forschern, welche stark zur internationalen Bekanntmachung und Vernetzung des Schweizer Bildungssystems beitragen.

Média training FNS pour scientifiques

Le Fonds national suisse (FNS) propose un cours de média training spécialement conçu pour les scientifiques. Les cours sont offerts en français et en allemand. Ils s'adressent en priorité à des chercheuses et chercheurs soutenus par le FNS, par la Commission pour la technologie et l'innovation (CTI) ou la Gebert Rüf Stiftung (GRS), tout en restant ouvert à d'autres scientifiques expérimentés.

Congresso SSRE 2012: „Disuguaglianze educative e giustizia – sfide scientifiche e sociali“
2 – 4 luglio 2012, Berna

Il congresso annuale della società svizzera di ricerca in educazione (SSRE) del 2012, si occuperà dell’argomento “Disuguaglianze educative e giustizia”. Al congresso si esamineranno principalmente domande riguardo al rapporto tra formazione, disparità sociali e giustizia. In quest’ambito verranno trattati argomenti inerenti l’origine delle disuguaglianze formative, conseguenze dovute alle disparità formative, migrazione, provenienza sociale, sesso, politica e controllo, strutture scolastiche e forme d’insegnamento, curriculum formativo dei docenti, formazione e mercato del lavoro, storia e funzione dei concetti di giustizia, l’evoluzione storica dell’inclusione e dell’esclusione, come anche l’evoluzione storica dei tentativi d’esplorazione dell’ingiustizia nel campo della formazione.
Al congresso coopera la società svizzera per la formazione degli insegnanti (SSFI), la società svizzera di sociologia (SSS) e la Alta Scuola Pedagogica germanofona PHBern. L’obiettivo è la discussione degli aspetti politici, amministrativi e pratici nel campo educativo.

EARLI SIG 5 biennial meeting 2012 on „Researching Development,
Learning and Well-Being in Early Childhood“
27th – 29th August 2012, Utrecht, The Netherlands

This meeting will bring together researchers from around the globe who are involved in the study of young children’s learning and development in the contexts of the family, peer group, day care centre, preschool, and primary school. SIG 5 encourages strong empirical research and international research collaboration. The biennial meeting will include symposia, paper sessions, and poster sessions. In addition, there will be interactive workshops on observation methods for classroom quality, classroom discourse analysis, statistical modelling of development, and new approaches to quasi-experimental evaluation of intervention and program effects. Keynote addresses will be delivered by professor Paul Harris (Harvard University, USA) and professor Adele Diamond (University of British Columbia, Canada).
Part of the SIG 5 meeting is organized jointly with SIG 15 Special Educational Needs, of which the biennial meeting will also take place in Utrecht, on the 29th and 30th of August 2012.

Neuer CAS-Studiengang «Bildungsevaluation» der Pädagogischen Hochschule FHNW sowie der Universität Bern

Die PH FHNW und die Universität Bern bieten ab März 2012 den gemeinsamen CAS-Studiengang „Bildungsevaluation“ an. Er Studiengang richtet sich an Fachpersonen auf allen Stufen des Bildungssystems, die sich für Datenerhebungen in der Bildungsevaluation qualifizieren wollen.
Er soll dazu befähigen, wissenschaftsbasiert fokussierte und praxisnahe Erhebungsinstrumente zu erstellen und enthält zwei Leistungsnachweise, in der reale Evaluationssituationen systematisch bearbeitet werden.

Diese internationale Fachkonferenz bilanziert und diskutiert den aktuellen Stand videobasierter Unterrichtsforschung in einem interdisziplinären Rahmen. Die Konferenz versucht einen Brückenschlag zwischen bildungswissenschaftlichen und fachdidaktischen Aspekten von unterrichtlichem Handeln.

Colloque annuel “Recherche” de la CDHEP 2012: “Pratiques de recherche dans les institutions de formation des enseignant-e-s

La HEP-BEJUNE (Haute Ecole Pédagogique-BEJUNE) en collaboration avec l’IRDP (Institut de recherche et de documentation pédagogique) et en partenariat avec le Fonds national suisse de la recherche scientifique organisent ce colloque annuel. Les formateurs et chercheurs des Hautes Ecoles Pédagogiques romandes et tessinoise se rencontrent chaque année pour débattre de l'état de la recherche dans leurs instituts de formation.
Le colloque de cette année est associé avec la parution du numéro 14 de la revue des HEP «Formation et pratiques d’enseignement en questions». Il vise notamment à porter un regard constructif sur les développements de la recherche, depuis une dizaine d’années, dans nos institutions de formation, à contribuer aux réflexions et débats sur les orientations futures de la recherche en éducation et formation et à favoriser les échanges et les partenariats scientifiques entre chercheurs et institutions.

Colloque international GREE/AFEC „Eduquer et former au „vivre ensemble“

Organisé conjointement par le Groupe de recherche sur l’éducation éthique et l’éthique en éducation (GREE) et l’Association francophone d’éducation comparée (AFEC), ce colloque a pour but de dégager des éléments porteurs pour penser les fondements et visées, analyser les contextes, les orientations et les pratiques et développer des outils pour éduquer au « vivre ensemble ». À partir d’ancrages théoriques spécifiques, de travaux de recherches empiriques et d’analyses comparatives, on vise à apporter de nouveaux éléments de réflexion et résultats de recherche sur l’éducation et en éducation à propos de cet enjeu éthique et social que représente la coexistence dans nos sociétés contemporaines et qu’on nomme le « vivre ensemble ».

The Place of the Swiss Social Sciences & Humanities in the EU Horizon 2020 (Arbeitstitel)

Die Tagung wird von der SAGW in Zusammenarbeit mit Euresearch und All European Academies (ALLEA) durchgeführt. Die Veranstaltung bezweckt, Schweizer Forschende über das neue Forschungsrahmenprogramm HORIZON 2020 zu informieren und für die Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften relevante Themen zu identifizieren. Am Vormittag werden Dr. Olivier Küttel, Dr. Regina Schneider (Euresearch) und Dr. Robert Burmanjer (European Commission Research & Innovation) über die Struktur, Inhalte und Erwartungen der EU sowie Best Practices und Erfahrungen im aktuellen Rahmenprogramm informieren. Im Anschluss werden Prof. Dr. Walter Leimgruber (SNF) und Dr. Rüdiger Klein (ALLEA) in ihren Beiträgen aufzeigen, wo sie mit Blick auf Horizon 2020 die Stärken und die Potenziale der geistes- und sozialwissenschaftlichen Forschung in der Schweiz sehen. Am Nachmittag werden fünf parallele Workshops zu den nachfolgenden im neuen EU- Forschungsrahmenprogramm vorgesehenen Bereichen angeboten: Inclusive societies, Intelligent growth, EU as a global actor, Diversity, beliefs and values und Sustainable growth. In der abschliessenden Paneldiskussion sollen die nächsten Schritte definiert werden.

Der thematische Fokus dieser Konferenz, die am Institut für Erziehungswissenschaft am Fachbereich 03 Sozial- und Kulturwissenschaften der Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen stattfindet, liegt einerseits auf den jeweiligen (bildungs-)politischen Gelegenheitsstrukturen verschiedener europäischer Länder und andererseits auf den damit verbundenen Chancenstrukturen für Bildungsaufsteiger/innen. Das spezielle Interesse besteht vor allem in einer Verknüpfung von Makro-, Meso- und Mikroperspektive auf Bildungsmobilität sowie auf historische Veränderungen dieser Bedingungen in einzelnen europäischen Ländern oder im Vergleich ausgewählter Länder. Ziel dieser internationalen Konferenz ist es, Forschenden aus dem europäischen Raum einen Austausch zu ermöglichen.

This Congress is organized by the international Standing Conference for the History of Education (ISCHE), the Society for the History of Children and Youth (SHCY), the Disability History Association (DHA) and the Faculty of psychology and sciences of education.
Contemporary historiography shows a renewed interest in phenomena of transfer, circulation, diffusion, flux and exchange among different spheres. Notions such as internationalization, globalization and others are used to describe these phenomena. Placing these concepts in their historical and theoretical frameworks, the aim of this Conference is to examine the processes that they designate in the field of education.
The Conference calls upon scholars to contribute by exploring the international dimensions of their areas of study. We will encourage comparative, transnational and entangled approaches to the history of education, the history of childhood and youth and to the history of disabilities. The Organizing Committee will particularly welcome contributions that theorize areas of study, and their inter-relationships, using concepts of class, gender, race and ethnicity.

EARLI-SIG 18 Meeting “From Theory to Theory. Empirical Analyses in Relation to Theoretical Models of Educational Effectiveness”

The aim of the third biennial meeting of the EARLI Special Interest Group 18 in Zurich is to examine the relationship between theory and empiricism of educational effectiveness. It is of special interest to investigate the interdependency between educational effectiveness theory and empirical analyses of the effects of school and teaching factors on school, teacher and student development.
The discussions should provide further development of educational effectiveness theory involving the complex processes of student learning and the multilevel structure of educational systems.
The conference is relevant for education researchers, methodologists and practitioners with an interest in educational effectiveness.
