The position will be based in theInstitute of Educational Research at the School of Education. We are looking for anoutstanding personality who will continuously develop this area in research and teaching.We offer a strong network, diverse cooperation opportunities and a high degree of creativefreedom for ideas and impulses for the development of the degree course in primary schoolteaching in cooperation with RWTH Aachen University (start winter semester 2025/26).DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS- Relevant empirical research on primary school pedagogical topics, especially in the areaof learning and development and the associated challenges at primary school- Teaching in the subject “Educational Sciences” as part of the “Bachelor of EducationPrimary School course” in Aachen- Cooperation in teaching and research with the other professorships based in Aachenregarding the development of the primary school teaching degree programme in Aachen- Cooperation with other institutions of the University of Wuppertal, in particular with thedepartments of the Institute of Educational Research- Interfaculty and interdisciplinary research, e.g., participating in the university's fields ofactivity, networking with the Interdisciplinary Project Forums for Teacher EducationInProF- Acquisition of competitive third-party funding- Sharing responsibility for the continuous and strategic development of Bachelor's andMaster's degree programmes in the context of teacher education, especially in AachenQUALIFICATIONS- Completed degree (Master of Education from a university or university of appliedsciences) in a relevant field, e.g., in educational sciences, psychology- Special aptitude for academic work, usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctoratewith a topic relevant to the advertised position- Further relevant scientific achievements performed during a first professorship includejunior professorships, habilitations, employment as a research assistant at a university orat a non-university research institution and scientific positions in business, inadministration or another social field in Germany or abroad- Pedagogical aptitude, which is proven by appropriate previous experience or,exceptionally, demonstrated in the appointment procedure- Relevant and visible empirical research on topics in the field of learning and developmentrelevant for primary school- Relevant publication activities (including articles in peer-reviewed journals, preferably ininternational journals)- Acquisition of third-party funding, preferably competitive third-party funding- Proven experience in the teaching profession, preferably at primary school- International orientationYou are able to demonstrate your qualification for the position by publications, relevantteaching experience, international orientation and the successful acquisition of third-partyfunds.
